Social Media and Your Employees Nov 16, 2011 - 12 (noon) to 1 P.M. CST Misbehaving employees is nothing new. What is new is the ease with which social media allows misconduct to spread to potentially millions of people in a matter of moments. With social media tools like Facebook, YouTube and Twitter, employees have the ability to wreak immediate and irreversible havoc in the click of a mouse or touch of a touchscreen. Disclosing company trade secret information; defaming others; invading someone’s privacy; harassing co-workers; these are just a few of the myriad of challenges businesses face in this brave new world. In order to help prevent public relations and legal nightmares from arising, and to minimize liability risks, best practices call for a proactive approach. By adopting social media policies and training employees, many employers are getting ahead of the issue so that employees know the risks and expectations with their use of social media. In this seminar we will review the various perils posed by employee misuse of social media and discuss strategies for reducing legal risks. Sign up here Enjoy your vacation! Contemporary Marketing in the New Digital World Jun 22, 2011 – 12 (noon) to 1 pm CST People interact with digital media differently than they do in person or with real-life marketing. Why? Because we are in control of what we see or do online. How do you keep people interested in your business and services? How do you keep your name in front of them in a way that is engaging to them? Better yet—How do you entice people to pass on your message to others they know through “viral marketing”? How do you choose a company to help you with marketing online? What questions do you need to ask and know? All of these questions will be covered, as well as: • Learn the importance of search engine marketing and why you need it • Learn the power of Facebook, e-newsletters, Twitter, blogs and YouTube • Learn tips, tricks, and the “tone” to use when reaching out to people in the digital world

At the conclusion of this webinar, you will: • Understand the differences among the types of online advertising • Know how to measure ad results • Know the questions to ask any ad sales rep so you don’t spend too much money

Why won't the videos on your website display? A recent update to Microsoft's Internet Explorer has caused problems with the way videos are displaying in your browser. The update broke the display of all videos in Internet Explorer. Beyond Indigo is checking with tech support at Microsoft to get these issues resolved as soon as possible. If you have a Mozialla Firefox, or Safari browser, the videos should display properly. We will keep you updated on the progress of this fix. Thank you for your patience, as we are all at the mercy of Microsoft for the moment. Karen Help Desk Manager Read more » | |

Important Notice Regarding ACT Handouts & Videos

As the world of online marketing has changed and evolved, so has Beyond Indigo. We have grown and added new services to our offerings to become your website designer, social media manager, and marketing executive all rolled into one. Including educational materials for your clients has always been an important part of our websites. Animal Care Technologies (ACT) has done an excellent job of providing educational handouts and videos. They, too, have grown and expanded their services, offering more relevant content for you and your clients. To make your website even better, we are handing off the Pet Care Content of your site to ACT. You will be able to work directly with them to add or change their products on your website. In light of this change, Beyond Indigo recently reduced its service fees. All billing for handouts and videos will go through ACT effective June 1, 2011. To keep Pet Care Content on your site, you must register at http://websource.4act.com/beyond-indigo. If you don’t register with ACT, these services will disappear from your website on June 1, 2011. To view new content and features from ACT, visit http://beyond-indigo-demo.4act.com/. Also check out the “Employment Opportunities” feature ACT is offering Beyond Indigo clients. This feature (HR Toolkit) allows you to recruit and conduct veterinary-specific screening of prospective employees through your website. Beyond Indigo will be hosting a webinar lead by David Grant, founder and CEO of ACT, on May 10, 2011, at 12 p.m. CST to discuss this upcoming change and these new exciting features. Register for the webinar at http://beyondindigonews.com/mailsend/lt.php?c=439&m=359&nl=94&s=518e243b25a5b9e26b3a3f46fbb1835e&lid=5705&l=-https--beyondindigo.webex.com/beyondindigo/onstage/g.php--Q-t--E-a--A-d--E-662395774.
